Full time professor - researcher

Currently she is professor and researcher of the Business School. She has a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering from UAM.Azcapotzalco, a master’s degree in Engineering from UNAM, and a PhD in Engineering and Public Policy with an specialization in Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Technological Change from Carnegie Mellon University in USA.

Her research interests are the analysis of the determinants of research productivity, the evaluation of science and technology policy, innovation and entrepreneurship. She is member of the Mexican System of Researchers, Level 2. She also collaborates with Conacyt and other institutions as a reviewer of research grants and awards.

She has taught courses on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Strategy. She has published in several international journals such as Research Policy, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Plos One, Scientometrics, among others. She graduated from her master’s degree with the Gabino Barreda honor, and received the Best Dissertation Award for her PhD thesis from the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Science (INFORMS), she studied her master’s degree and her PhD with a scholarship from Conacyy and was a Fulbright scholar under the NEXUS program.

She was Deputy General Director of International Affairs and Scholarships at Conacyt; and Strategic Planning Coordinator at the Instituto Tecnológico de Teléfonos de México.
