Alexandra Uribe Coughlan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), a Master´s Degree in International Relations from New York University, and is a Doctoral Candidate in Political Science for NYU. Since 1998, she had taught Political Science at ITAM, at both the undergraduate and diploma level. She also edits social science texts. Her academic interests include the history of economic and political development, including the important role technology plays in both, questions of political and social representation, religion and politics, and violence in politics.
