She holds a PhD in French Philology and an MA in Translation (Universidad Complutense de Madrid); she also has an ME in Environmental Management (École des Mines de Paris) and a BA in Communication (Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana). Her research focuses on the relationship between writing and image, both in narrative, academic and professional texts. She is co-author of Entre escritura e imagen (Peter Lang International, 2013), Comunicación y escrituras (Universidad de Zaragoza, 2012), Tiempo: texto e imagen (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, 2011), as well as Herramientas para escribir (bien): nociones básicas (ITAM, 2014). Since 2008, she participates in the Editorial Board and the Editing Team of Foreign Affairs Latinoamérica. She has worked as a linguistic and editorial consultant for several national and international organizations, such as the World Bank, UNDP, Coneval, USAID, The Paul Getty Trust, Grupo BAL, among others. She has been translator and reviewer of economic, educational, legal, environmental and medical texts for different public and private institutions. She has produced more than 30 audiovisual documentaries on rural development and environment.
