Antonella Bandiera is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science at ITAM in Mexico City, and has a Ph.D in Political Science from New York University (NYU). She specializes in political economy of development, and her research focuses on the consequences of weak institutions, including illegal markets, corruption, violence, and crime. In her work, Antonella uses quantitative approaches to causal inference, including experimental and quasi-experimental designs. She is currently working on projects in Colombia, Peru, Paraguay, Argentina, and El Salvador.  She has an M.A.

Margarita Tarragona Sáez integrates her academic work with her practice as a psychologist. She is especially interested in applying scientific findings about well-being to help people thrive in psychotherapy, coaching and education. She is a lecturer in Positive Psychology for the University of Pennsylvania´s online degree and certificate programs. She is the president of the Mexican Positive Psychology Society and is on the board of advisors of IPPA, the International Positive Psychology Association.

Airam graduated in 2009 from the Bachelor of Mathematics of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, with the best academic performance in her class. Later, she did graduate from master and PhD in Probability and Statistics at CIMAT, in Guanajuato. The advisor of her master thesis is Dr. Víctor Rivero who also co-directed her PhD thesis with Arno Siri-Jégousse. During the fourth year of her PhD, she did a research stay at the Paris VI University, Pierre et Marie Curie (now Sorbonne University), in France.

Currently, she is the Director of the Public Accounting and Financial Strategy Program and a full-time professor at the Academic Accounting Department.

She has a degree in Public Accounting from ITAM, a Master's Degree in Administration and a Master's in Accounting, both from ITAM.

Additionally, she has a Cost Certification by the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants. Her professional career was developed in the Mexican Financial System, in Banca Cremi SNC and in the National Securities Commission.

14871 - Sylvia Meljem Enríquez de Rivera

Sylvia Meljem is a faculty member at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), having served on its faculty since 1987, where she serves as Director of the Center for Accounting Linkage and Research and Head of the Academic Department of Accounting and previously as the Director of the Public Accounting and Financial Strategy Program (1995-2006). Sylvia received her Ph.D. in Management Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

4869 - Ana Sofía Charvel Orozco

Sofía is currently a full time Professor and Researcher at the Academic Department of Law, and  Director of the Public Health Law Program at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico, ITAM. She obtained a Bachelor´s Degree in LAW from the ITAM Institute, and earned a Master´s Degree in Judicial Science from the Panamerican University (UP), followed by a Ph.D. in LAW from this same University.

Alexandra Uribe Coughlan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), a Master´s Degree in International Relations from New York University, and is a Doctoral Candidate in Political Science for NYU. Since 1998, she had taught Political Science at ITAM, at both the undergraduate and diploma level. She also edits social science texts.

Dr. Valeria Zepeda Trejo has a PHD degree in History by the Universidad Iberoamericana and a MA degree in Modern and Contemporary History by the Instituto de Investigaciones Dr. José Ma. Luis Mora.  She is currently a full time professor at ITAM, where she studied a BA in International Relations, and throughout 11 years she has teach different courses such as Socio-Political History of Mexico; Contemporary Issues and Problems of the Mexican Reality; History of International Relations and Mexico-USA Relations. 4943 - Joyce Carol Sadka

Joyce Sadka is an assistant professor and researcher with a joint affiliation to the Law Department and the Centro de Investigacion Economica of ITAM. She holds a PhD in Economics from Rice University and a Juris Doctor from George Mason University. Since 2005 Joyce has collected several large data bases from case files of employment lawsuits in Mexico, to study issues of applied bargaining, litigation, settlement, enforcement, and access to justice.

10279 - María Mercedes Gregorio Domínguez

She holds an Actuarial Science Bachelor degree from ITAM and a PhD in Statistics and Operations Research from University of Essex, England. She joined the ITAM faculty in Actuarial Science in 1998. She is Director of the BSc Actuarial Science Program at ITAM and Coordinator of the Actuarial Science Department at ITAM. She is full time professor and researcher at ITAM; she belongs to the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI). She is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (SOA).
