Goodliffe is currently full-time professor and researcher in the Department of International Studies at ITAM. In this capacity, he teaches or has taught International Economic Relations, Introduction to International Relations, and the departmental Thesis Preparation Seminar. He holds a B.A. in French from Yale University, an M.A. in political science from Stanford University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. Prior to joining the ITAM faculty, he taught courses in comparative politics and international relations at American University and the Johns Hopkins University.

Goodliffe is the author of The Resurgence of the Radical Right in France: From Boulangisme to the Front National (Cambridge, 2012) and co-edited France after 2012 (Berghahn, 2015)/ La Francia di Hollande (Il Mulino, 2013). He is the author of numerous chapters and articles on French and Western European Politics and has been published in such titles as The International Spectator, The Journal of Contemporary European Studies, French Politics, and French Politics, Culture and Society. He is currently at work on a book on the political implications of the European debt and migration crises in France and Germany.
