He developed studies in Classical Humanities at the Collegium Litterarum Humaniorum of Salamanca Spain obtaining the degree of Associate in Arts. After this, he obtain a B.A. in Philosophy from the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome, Italy. After finishing his degree, he completed a Masters in Philosophy at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas of Rome. He continued his studies pursuing a degree in Theology with specialty in Moral Theology. Upon returning to Mexico, he decided to direct his interest by changing to the administrative field with the intention of specializing in Business Ethics and studied the Masters Degree in Administration, obtaining also a Specialty in Finance at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Santa Fe. He also obtain a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Universidad Iberoamerica in Mexico.
He was Head of the Humanities and Social Sciences Program of the Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Santa Fe. He also collaborated with the University of Dallas, Texas as "Visiting Lecture" teaching different subjects of Theology at the Institute of Religious and Philosophical Sciences of the Braniff School . Alejandro Ordieres is currently a Full-time Research Professor at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México in Mexico. He has given different conferences and courses on the practice of ethics and values in professional practice in Pronósticos para la Asistencia Pública, the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública, Comisión de Derechos Humanos de la Ciudad de México, etc., as well as the subject of "Ethics in Business and Social Responsibility" in the Master's Degree in Business Program from ITAM.
He is the author of Formación en el Pensamiento Crítico, Fundamentos para una ética ciudadana, Ética en el Servicio Público and, La acción y el juicio moral en David Hume, among other articles and conferences.
